Skills
38 acquisition questions, already written.
You don't run these — your AI does. If you haven't connected one yet, start at Connect your AI first; a skill only makes sense once something can call it. Once you're connected, read on for what a skill actually is and what decides which ones are open to run.
What a skill is #
A skill is two things bundled together: a prompt written for one specific acquisition question — is this earnings quality real, would a lender fund this, what would Buffett think — and a contract stating what it needs on file to answer that question well.
Ask your connected AI to run one, and SoloSearcher hands it three things: the skill's prompt, a snapshot of the company, and the extracted text of whatever documents you've uploaded for it. Your agent reasons over that and writes the answer — SoloSearcher never runs the analysis itself.
The finished report saves onto the company record, not into your chat window. Run the same skill again later and you get a new version next to the old one, never a replacement, so you can see how the answer changed as the deal did.
Ready, ready — gaps, or needs inputs #
Every skill declares the inputs it needs before it can answer well — a legal name, an industry, a financial period with revenue, whatever the question actually requires. What your company record already holds decides which of three states you see on that skill's card, and the AI tab totals the third state up as the locked count.
Ready
Everything the skill needs is already on the record. Run it now.
Ready — gaps
It runs, but names what's missing so you know exactly how much to trust the answer.
Needs inputs
Nothing to run on yet. A cold company with no financials legitimately can't run Earnings Quality — the card shows Needs inputs with exactly what would unlock it.
The arc #
Which skills are open follows your own process, not a switch you flip. Cold, before you've made contact, the research, screen, and outreach skills work from the company record alone — legal name, industry, whatever's public.
As a company moves into diligence, the financial and deal skills unlock one at a time as financials and documents actually arrive — nothing asks you to backfill data a company doesn't need yet.
